Wikipedia Loves Art

February 2, 2009

Yesterday, the Wikipedia Loves Art program officially began. LACMA is pleased to be in the initial group of museums asked to participate by the Brooklyn Museum's innovative Shelley Bernstein. Here's how it works: for the month of February, LACMA and other museums welcome the public to photograph permanent collection objects to help Wikipedia illustrate its articles. Think of it as an art scavenger hunt. Click here to learn more about rules, restrictions, and how to get involved.

And while you're at LACMA with your camera, don't forget to take a couple of pictures of Urban Light for our photography open call. The last day to receive entries for that is February 14.
