Meghan McCauley, New Member Manager

For years, the best costumes in the city of L.A. have been on display every Halloween at LACMA—and the 2014 Costume Ball was no exception! This year’s theme was the Living Museum, encouraging guests to attend dressed as artists or works of art.

Andy Warhol’s portrait of John Lennon and a Picasso-inspired masterpiece.

Costume contest judges Deborah Nadoolman Landis, Deborah Scott, and Chrisi Karvonides awarded six prizes in our annual costume contest—five for art-inspired costumes, and one for a film-inspired costume. Here are this year’s contest winners:

Costume contest winner Lucas McGregor as Jesus Rafael Soto's Penetrable

Ronni and Maria Kappos as Diane Arbus, Identical Twins, Roselle, New Jersey, 1967

Cheryl Gaskill and Erin Rosaire as one of Ketih Haring's iconic hearts.
