Happy Fourth of July weekend!

Spend time in the Art of the Americas Building and explore American art across time. Check out the graphic design work of California artist and professor Ed Fella. Ed’s meticulously hand-drawn lettering and poetic wordplay stake a claim for self-expression and push boundaries in the design world.

Don’t miss our free weekend concerts! Groove with Jazz phenomenon Angie Wells on Friday, get down with Latin group Conjunto Costazul on Saturday, and soak in the classical music of the Encore Saxophone Quartet on Sunday.

Help us bring art across borders! With your help, a replica of a Guatemalan egg-shaped museum will travel almost 3,000 miles over two weeks, visiting some of the most diverse and dynamic creative communities in Guatemala, Mexico, and Southern California. Along the way, this micro-museum will bring world-class art, exciting programs, and countless opportunities for creative dialogue.

Have a good time this weekend at the museum! And, pro-tip: the affogatos and milkshakes at C+M are a great way to treat yourself in the summer heat.
