It’s the last weekend before school’s back in session! Hold onto summer just a little bit longer right here at the museum.

Get your music fix each night this weekend. Listen to Don Littleton’s jazz music on Friday, the Latin sounds of Ted Falcon Brazilian Project on Saturday, and classical music by Yu Eun Kim and Sung Chang on Sunday.

Learn more about exhibitions on view through docent-led tours! This weekend, enjoy tours on Chagall: Fantasies for the Stage, Home—So Different, So Appealing, and Polished to Perfection: Japanese Cloisonné.

Bring your kids to the Boone Children's Gallery over the weekend! Enjoy a free creative space where visitors of all ages are invited to learn the art of East Asian brush painting. Sid, the beloved dragon drawn on the wall of the Boone, is leaving on August 16, so make sure to say your goodbyes and sketch Sid one last time before he goes.

Join us for a rare opportunity to experience a pivotal early piece by contemporary artist Tino Sehgal. On Saturday and Sunday, dancer Frank Willens will present (Untitled), 2000, at LACMA, marking Sehgal’s first museum presentation in Los Angeles, and one of the few showings of his work to take place on the West Coast. This piece contains nudity, viewer discretion advised.
