Get a closer look at Japanese enamel artworks on Saturday through a special lecture. Examine elegant inlays in decorative sword fittings and learn about the renaissance of the craft. The lecture will focus on the works of Japanese cloisonné masters, whose works are showcased in the exhibition Polished to Perfection, on view in the Pavilion for Japanese Art.

Celebrate Veterans in the Arts and Humanities Day at LACMA on Sunday. View compelling short films created in the museum’s Veterans Make Movies program. After the screening, Army veteran and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Henry Hughes will lead a Q&A with the filmmakers, followed by a complimentary wine reception for all attendees.

Stroll through the American Art and Decorative Arts and Design galleries before they close on Sunday. Make sure you stop by and check out the exhibition Ed Fella: Free Work in Due Time. The exhibition showcases the work of the legendary graphic designer and educator. Check out Fella’s meticulously hand-drawn lettering and poetic wordplay that stake a claim for self-expression in design.
