This Week at LACMA

September 17, 2023

The World Made Wondrous: The Dutch Collector’s Cabinet and the Politics of Possession recreates a fictive 17th-century Dutch collector’s cabinet. Visitors will be led through the exhibition featuring over 300 objects including paintings, prints and sculptures, as well as gems, shells, and taxidermy.

Join us on Friday for Jazz at LACMA featuring the Ernie Watts Quartet and for Friday Art Night! Inspired by the lacquer boxes on view in the exhibition, Friday Art Night attendees will use mixed-media materials such as decoupage and painting to create their own wood or paper-mache keepsake box.
