It's the final weeks to see Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall! Closing Sunday, July 21, this exhibition presents murals from the 1960s depicting moments like the Chicano Movement and Watts Renaissance, alongside archival materials that have never been exhibited. When you visit the exhibition, you might also catch Baca and artists from the Social and Public Art Resource Center (SPARC) painting live in the galleries.
Don't forget to check out the public programs presented in conjunction with Painting in the River of Angles, including docent-led tours of the exhibition, providing a deeper look at the work on view. These tours are free with museum admission.
