This Week at LACMA

October 28, 2024

Get ready to explore the cosmos and see Mapping the Infinite to learn about the history of cosmologies around the globe, from the Stone Age to the present. On Monday, October 28, join LACMA curator Stephen Little for a walkthrough of the exhibition and on Sunday, November 3, children can make their own art inspired by the exhibition during a themed Andell Family Sundays session.

This week, you can also see American Artist: The Monophobic Response, presented November 1–4 as part of PST ART. The two-channel film and sculptural installation documents a meticulously crafted yet poetically altered re-creation of a pivotal 1936 static rocket engine test that initiated the United States' venture into space travel.

Please note that LACMA will close early at 1 pm on Saturday, November 2.
