This Week at LACMA

December 29, 2024

Magdalena Suarez Frimkess: The Finest Disregard, the first museum exhibition of L.A.-based and Venezuelan-born artist, closes on Sunday, January 5. Spanning over five decades, it features ceramics, paintings, and drawings, offering insights into the artist's fascination with art history books, popular media, cartoons, animation, autobiography, and the humor found in the folds between the layers of everyday life. Visit the The Finest Disregard this week before it ends and join a docent-led tour for an even deeper look at the exhibition.

LACMA will also be open on New Year's Day, Wednesday, January 1, so you can start the new year with inspiration and art.
