A Place for Respite and Calm: LACMA Is Free This Week

January 13, 2025

Our hearts are heavy from the immense losses sustained by L.A. County over the last week.

To our beloved Los Angeles, we’re here for you. So many need places and spaces—for a moment to grieve, reflect, hope, and commune. As the County’s art museum, LACMA serves as a place to find comfort and connection, and we hope that spending time with art in the safe, indoor environment of our galleries will provide a moment of respite and calm during this difficult time.

For whatever art can offer, we’re extending free admission to the museum for all, as well as free parking in the Pritzker Parking Garage, through Friday, January 17. We are open to the public with regular hours, subject to change depending on evolving conditions.

To visitors who have already purchased tickets for the museum this week, we will offer vouchers for free admission for a future visit. Just speak with a Visitor Services Associate at the museum.
