This Week at LACMA

April 1, 2025

Line, Form, Qi: Calligraphic Art from the Fondation INK Collection highlights experimental modern and contemporary works of art inspired by—and continuing—the history of East Asian calligraphy.

To mark the opening of Line, Form, Qi, Taiwanese contemporary artist Yahon Chang, whose work is featured in the exhibition, will perform Hiding Place, a painting and calligraphy performance accompanied by classical pianist Steven Lin. Chang will also join curator Susie Ferrell to discuss the work he creates that day as well as his work in the exhibition. RSVP for Sunday, April 6.
