This Week at LACMA

June 1, 2025

An examination of the innovations in modern and contemporary calligraphic art, Line, Form, Qi: Calligraphic Art from the Fondation INK Collection highlights the evolution of the pictograph, explorations of the relationship between content and form, the development of new scripts, and the abstraction of the written word. Line, Form, Qi is now open at LACMA. On Saturday, June 7, families can also take part in a Boone Children's Gallery art workshop inspired by the exhibition.

Also this week, don't miss activities for all ages at the exhibition Nature on Notice: Contemporary Art and Ecology at Charles White Elementary School. On Wednesday, June 4, the Nature on Notice Student and Community Showcase will include drop-in, hands-on workshops where you can contribute to the community art gallery. On Saturday, June 7, a sound bath led by Devon Cunningham will provide a moment to relax and reflect on the work on view.
