Tavares Strachan: The Day Tomorrow Began, which presents multisensory installations and artworks across mediums to tell overlooked stories of history and culture, opens this Sunday, October 12. Join us for Night Out at LACMA on Wednesday, October 8, and enjoy access to The Day Tomorrow Began and other selected exhibitions along with music under the stars. Also, on Thursday, October 9, you can hear from Tavares Strachan and LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan as they discuss the exhibition at a special In Conversation session.
On Saturday, October 11, L.A. Print, Edition 14 will honor the centennial of Robert Rauschenberg’s birth with a conversation about the artist's groundbreaking graphic work and lasting influence in Los Angeles. Panelists Jennifer Turner, Helen Hsu, and Fiona Connor will explore his legacy, especially through his collaboration with Gemini G.E.L., and its impact on contemporary printmaking.
