This week, don't miss two special film screenings at the museum. On Thursday, November 6, hear from Art + Technology Lab grant recipients Patty Chang and David Kelley at a special musical performance alongside a presentation of their film Stray Dog Hydrophobia, which situates deep sea mining within the longer histories of colonialism, slavery, extraction, and geoengineering.
On Saturday, November 8, Artist’s Choice: The Mummy (1969) presents an influential masterpiece of Egyptial cinema specifically chosen by artist Youssef Nabil in conjunction with the exhibition Now Showing: Youssef Nabil’s I Saved My Belly Dancer.
