This Week at LACMA

December 29, 2025

It's the last chance to see Diffuse Control by Beeple before it closes on Sunday, January 4! This image-generating sculpture invites visitors to collaborate with artificial intelligence, and its custom website allows participants to interact with the AI generative system, which transforms images of select public domain artworks from LACMA’s permanent collection. The sculpture displays the resulting images, allowing the audience to remix this new creation in real time and generate unique prints from the sculpture.

Member Mondays are back with extended evening hours for select exhibitions today, December 29, from 6:30–9 pm! At this special holiday edition, members can bring up to four friends for free and enjoy after-hours access to the galleries, a complimentary photo booth, festive holiday lights, live chalk drawings from local artists on the Smidt Welcome Plaza, and a special playlist of French music inspired by our newest exhibition, Collecting Impressionism at LACMA. Also be sure to check out our docent-led tours of the Modern Art Galleries.

LACMA will be open on New Year's Day, Thursday, January 1, so you can start your 2026 with art and inspiration as you explore everything on view.
