This Week at LACMA

March 23, 2026

On Saturday, March 28, come connect with nature on LACMA’s campus while honing your observational drawing skills at our botanical drawing class. By incorporating some plant science into our drawing practice, we’ll examine botany-inspired work in the exhibitions Deep Cuts: Block Printing Across Cultures and Collecting Impressionism at LACMA and explore how botanical drawing can shift from highly representational illustrations to patterns and more abstract forms.

Let the countdown begin—in just under a month, the long-anticipated David Geffen Galleries will open! On April 19, LACMA members and donors will have the opportunity to see the inaugural installation of the museum’s permanent collection at our ribbon-cutting celebration, marking the beginning of two weeks of priority access to the galleries as well as a series of events. Not a member? Join today and be amoung the first to experience L.A.'s newest landmark—you won't want to miss it!
