This Week at LACMA

June 1, 2026

Celebrating the arrival of the World Cup in Los  Angeles, Fútbol Is Life: Animated Sportraits by Lyndon J. Barrois, Sr. presents works by the award‑winning animator and visual‑effects artist. Crafted from gum wrappers, glue, paint, and other materials, his miniature “sportraits” capture iconic moments in women’s and men’s soccer. On Sunday, June 7, families can join a free Andell Family Sundays workshop to create art inspired by the exhibition.

Plan your visit to LACMA this week to visit the galleries, explore hand‑made sculptures, and celebrate the history of soccer.
