This Weekend at LACMA

This weekend is the official start of LACMA Local! The first event, on Saturday night, takes members on a self-guided tour of four pre-selected artworks that each represent a different season. At the end of the tour, Locals will gather in BCAM to experience Rain Room. Learn more about LACMA Local to take advantage of upcoming events.

Sunday at 4 pm, join Alexandra Grant and Keanu Reeves in Art Catalogues as they discuss their work Shadows and the influence of collaboration on private imagination. The talk begins at 4 pm with a book signing and reception.

Sundays Live brings the Colburn Chamber Orchestra to the Bing Theater, directed by Maxim Eshkenazy. Composed of 35 members, all students age 13 and above, the Colburn Chamber Orchestra will perform Johannes Brahms: Liebeslieder Walzer Opus 52 and Leos Janacek: Idyll. The performance begins at 6 pm.

Tours this weekend include the Art of China on Friday at 2 pm, Modern and Contemporary Art on Saturday at 2 pm, and European Art on Sunday at 3 pm. For families, the Boone Children's Gallery is open all weekend and Story Time in the Galleries is at 2 pm on Friday in the Hammer Building. At Andell Family Sundays, everyone is encouraged to engage with the works of Auguste Rodin and Liz Glynn. It begins on Sunday at 12:30 pm on the North Piazza.
