Start off November with a relaxing visit to the museum. Get a cup of coffee or a steaming hot London Fog from C+M, located at the L.A. Times Central Court. Enjoy lunch at Ray's & Stark Bar for farm-to-table cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.
Step into BCAM and wander through Richard Serra's Band, a curved sculpture whose sheer mass is disguised by the ease and fluidity of its presence in the gallery. Check out Chris Burden's kinetic sculpture Metropolis II and see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through roads and freeways.
On the other side of campus, visit Sarah Charlesworth: Doubleworld and discover a new perspective on photography. Charlesworth examined the role that photographic images play in contemporary culture—as coded forms of representation, as symbols, and as icons. For more on the artist, check out exhibition curator Rebecca Morse's post on Unframed.
Please note that LACMA will close early on Saturday, November 4. The Resnick Pavilion and BCAM will close at 1 pm. The rest of the museum will close at 3 pm. Visit our website to plan your visit accordingly.
