This Weekend at LACMA

May 11, 2018

Kick off your weekend with a Jazz at LACMA concert by Alan Pasqua on Friday night! Pianist and composer Pasqua has played and recorded with Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Michael Brecker, and many more.

Wondering what to do with your family? Attend a free art-making workshop at Charles White Elementary School, inspired by the exhibition A Universal History of Infamy: Those of This America on Saturday, 1:30–3:30 pm, or stop by LACMA for Andell Family Sundays to make art inspired by the ancient city of Teotihuacan, Mexico.

Don't forget to check out all the art on view, from David Hockney's portraits to art that explores the presence of the past in Iranian society to ancient Panamanian ceramics, and close out your weekend with a Sundays Live concert: LA Opera's Young Artists focusing on Verdi's Bel Canto and beyond.
