We're feeling festive this weekend at LACMA with a ton of activities for your friends and family to enjoy. We are happy to announce that Member Shopping Days are back this weekend, from Saturday, December 15 to Monday, December 17! LACMA members save an additional 10% (up to 20% total!) on select items in the LACMA Stores and online, as well as on a limited selection of items in the Art Catalogues bookstore. If you're not a member yet, join now and you can enjoy these exclusive opportunities. On Monday, December 17, members will have the opportunity to attend Holiday Member Monday, an extended after-hours evening where members may bring unlimited guests and enjoy complimentary light refreshments during extended LACMA Store hours. The first 100 members to make a LACMA Store purchase will receive the catalogue Envisioning Modernism: The Janice and Henri Lazarof Collection.

On Sunday, December 16 at 10 am, join us for a special celebration of the exhibition The Jeweled Isle: Art from Sri Lanka with an oil lamp lighting ceremony followed by traditional Sri Lankan dances and drumming. After the ceremony, come explore the exhibition and its 240 works addressing nearly two millennia of Sri Lankan history, featuring LACMA’s rarely displayed collection of Sri Lankan art—one of the finest and most extensive in the U.S. Then at 4 pm, Michael Govan and artist Thomas Demand will meet at Art Catalogues to discuss Demand's extensive catalogue raisonné The Complete Papers. Lastly at 6 pm, Capitol Ensemble celebrates Beethoven's birthday at Sundays Live.
