Alvar Aalto Vase 270mm Ultramarine Blue

Designed by architect Alvar Aalto in 1936, the Aalto collection is a globally recognized icon of Finnish glass art. The organic, wavy silhouette of this is perfect for flowers, and the bright ultramarine blue brings out the its curves beautifully. Each Aalto vase is hand-crafted and mouthblown at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland.

Perfect for those who loved the groundbreaking exhibition The Portable Universe / El Universo en Tus Manos: Thought and Splendor of Indigenous Colombia, these 24-karat gold plate earrings—handcrafted in Colombia by artisans who specialize in Pre-Columbian arts—are a reproduction of a pectoral ornament from the Tolima culture. Howard Smith Tea Towel

African American artist Howard Smith moved to Finland to escape systematic racism and lack of professional opportunities in his home country and quickly found community in Helsinki art and design circles. Committed to making less expensive, more accessible work, Smith designed printed cheerful textiles for the Finnish firm Vallila, many of which, like this one, were exported back to the United States. 

This textile is now on view in Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980.

Georgia O'Keeffe Horse's Skull with Pink Rose Custom Print

Horse’s Skull with Pink Rose (1931) is an iconic work by O'Keeffe, a masterpiece that links the artists earlier flower paintings created in New York City and her later desert paintings. It is one of many works in LACMA’s collection offered as exclusive custom prints in a variety of size and framing options.

This pack of 10 festive greeting cards reproduces a photo by Paul Outerbridge, Jr., the photographer known for his early work in color who used the difficult but sublime carbro-color process. The original photo, Christmas Gifts, may have been taken for House Beautiful's December 1936 holiday guide.
