Friday night, get yourselves ready for the legendary drummer Peter Erskine. His latest album Dr. Um takes his classic fusion sound right into the 21st century. John Beasley, Bob Sheppard, and Benjamin Shepherd will join Peter Erskine onstage for a night of music that will bring nostalgia to all Weather Report fans.

Comedian K-von will host Saturday night’s Farhang Foundation Short Film Festival in the Bing Theater, which will feature a screening of six short films created by emerging talents from all over the world. The festival is meant to inspire and cultivate interest in Iranian culture through the creativity of movie making, and will give prizes to the top three films of the night. The red-carpet event is followed by a reception with music by DJ Arin and Persian-themed drinks by Patina. For more information about the festival, visit the Farhang Foundation's website or take a look at our latest blog post.

Toba Khedoori opens on Sunday. Los Angeles-based artist Toba Khedoori creates hyper-detailed architectural works that celebrate the silent and slow process of working by hand. Immerse yourself in her early large-scale pieces where objects like doors, clouds, and houses take form in intimate renderings. Then, explore her later works on canvas that hover between representation and abstraction.
