The party continues this weekend at LACMA with yet another fantastic Jazz at LACMA performance. This Friday at 6 pm, bring your friends and family and picnic as you enjoy the soulful melodies of trumpeter Bobby Bradford.
On Saturday, join LACMA Local: Meditate at 10 am as members start their morning with contemplative looking of the dynamically colorful exhibition Mark Grotjahn: 50 Kitchens. LACMA Local is the perfect opportunity to connect with other Locals and share your mutual love for art by participating in two one-of-a-kind events per month at the museum. After a day of browsing the art galleries, step into Hancock Park at 5 pm for Latin Sounds and dance to the unique, flavorful rhythms of Brazilian performers Kátia Moraes & Brazilian Hearts.
Lastly, take advantage of the opportunity to view Wu Bin: Ten Views of a Lingbi Stone before it closes on June 24. Get a close-up look at depictions of the stone that was admired not only for its beautiful structures but for spurring the imaginations of ancient Chinese philosophers. Make sure to attend a tour of the exhibition this Friday, June 15, at 2:30 pm, free with general admission.
