This Weekend at LACMA

You don't have to wait until New Year's Day to make visiting LACMA a part of your New Year's resolution! Come to LACMA this weekend and explore all the wonderful exhibitions we have on view. Also, join us at Ray's and Stark Bar for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Hangover Brunch for exclusive dishes plus a full à la carte menu!

Bring the children in your life to the Boone Children's Gallery, free and open to the public until 5 pm. Friendly and helpful staff introduce painting techniques, offer tips, and even provide high chairs for very young artists. Then on Friday, December 28 at 2 pm, take your children on a reading journey at Story Time in the Galleries.

Enjoy a free docent-led tour of some of our most popular exhibitions this weekend. Learn more about the art of the eternal city in To Rome and Back: Individualism and Authority in Art, 1500–1800, with tours scheduled on Friday, December 28 at 3 pm and Saturday, December 29 at 2 pm. On Friday, December 28 at 2 pm and Saturday, December 29 at 3 pm enjoy a docent-led tour of Robert Rauschenberg's monumental installation, The 1/4 Mile. Join in on a tour of Outliers and American Vanguard Art on Sunday, December 30 at 2 pm. Also, don't miss a very special tour of Highlights of the Museum: Ancient to Modern on Sunday, December 30 at 3 pm and explore the wonderful European painting and sculptures on view in the Ahmanson Building, Level 3, before a part of the galleries closes on February 3.
