LACMA is bringing it to the masses this weekend! This Saturday, August 25, at 8 pm, come party at LACMA's annual after-hours extravaganza, Muse 'til Midnight. As the name suggests, you can dance the night away to various innovative DJs and performers, including Jacques Greene, Visible Cloaks, One Child Policy, Asmara, Callie Ryan, Low Limit, kyttenjanae, Mamabear, and Quadraphonic Sound Installation. There will be multiple site-specific sounds and visual installations curated by DUBLAB for you to explore, inspired by the immersive exhibition 3D: Double Vision, which will be on view all night long. The event is for those ages 18 and older and a complimentary drink will be provided to those 21 and up, courtesy of SHOWTIME^® (while supplies last). So get your dancing shoes and 3D glasses ready for the ultimate, sensorial dance party that you won't want to miss!

After the party ends, make sure to join the masses and check out Picturing the Masses: Germany 1900–1938 and The Art of the Movie Poster: Highlights from the Mike Kaplan Collection, both closing this Sunday, August 26. Focusing on Germany, Picturing the Masses explores "the masses" as a modern concept rising in popularity in art during the early 20th century, a time of political revolutions, mobilization, and popular entertainments. On the topic of popular entertainments, The Art of the Movie Poster showcases a selection of international posters from the Golden Age of movie poster design from the 1920s to 1950s. Before photography dominated the field of advertisement, these works presented a marriage of high art and popular culture, employing avant-garde formal and typographic trends while intending to attract the broadest possible audiences.

Also, join the crowd at Jazz at LACMA this Friday, August 24, at 6 pm with Bob Mintzer-Russell Ferrante Quartet, two members of the Grammy award-winning Yellow Jackets. Then on Saturday, August 25, Latin Sounds presents Los Jaraneros playing sounds grounded in Peruvian criollo, Afro-Peruvian music, and influences of jazz. Then on Sunday, August 26, at 6 pm, Trio Céleste, one of the most dynamic chamber music ensembles on the classical music scene today, takes over the Sundays Live stage.
