In Conversation with Eleanor Antin

Dhyandra Lawson, Curatorial Assistant, Wallis Annenberg Photography Department

On the occasion of the exhibition Eleanor Antin: Time’s Arrow, I spoke with Eleanor Antin about her new work, CARVING: 45 Years Later (2017) in context with her landmark piece, CARVING: A Traditional Sculpture (1972), presented together for the first time at LACMA.

On Tuesday, June 18, Antin will be in conversation with LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan at 7:30 pm in LACMA’s Bing Theater. Join us for this special opportunity to hear more from one of the most influential artists working today, as she reflects on early work, recent work, and the passage of time. This event is free and open to the public; tickets required.

Eleanor Antin: Time’s Arrow is on view in the Art of the Americas Building through July 28.
